I’ve got an 02 and like it. Good performance, takes rough water surprisingly well and has enough storage room. It can get a little crowded with 2 on the front deck, not as stable as the widebodies but fishes good. Mine is an Intercoastal and I haven’t been in any other 18 1/2s so much better that make me want to switch, carpet or not.

I had a 08 for 10 years and it was a great boat. I put a 175 Pro XS on it and for that size boat if flew 65 on a good day.

I still have my 2006 TR-186 and I still love it. It's not a speed demon at only 55-58 mph (150 Optimax) with a partner and fully loaded with tackle. No issues with it so far; knock on wood. It's a very stable boat with plenty of front deck space for a 2006. I have no cons, but I know someone here will.

Had an 06 dual console with a 150 opti and I loved it. Traded it in last year for a bigger boat

My 08 has been solid. I wish it had a wider front deck for sure. Also, I don’t like the front center hold. It goes all the way to the nose of if something slides forward its a PITA to get it back. It’s a huge space but not all of it is useable.

Fished as a non boater in many a 20 footer. They were all amazing, but I could not afford one.

My TR186 is is everything I need and more. Tons of storage, handles well, stable for it's size, and does 55ish w/ 150 at altitude. When I nose into deep cover and hear some branches on the hull I don't loose sleep. I fish it hard and it never has let me down.

The only thing I would change is having a single console. I'm a big guy and the extra space moving from front to back would be great.

Had a 2002 Tr186 long time ago, great boat. Problem from day 1 until it sold smelled like a gas station in the rod box.

That is, unfortunately, an issue with several older models of Triton. Not sure about the new ones.

Had an '01 for 4 years. Was a solid boat, and never had an issue. Johnson 150 on the back. Great motor. Just a little too small for me and all my stuff, and the second console always got in my way.

I have a 2006 as well. Love it!! Only issue is the autofill for live wells. I strictly catch and release and would like to lose the extra weight of full live wells. Other than that, zero complaints.
