Anybody run the new Mercury V8

Looking to see any info for the new merc on a bird, such as top speed, holeshot rpms, and prop.

I don’t think anyone has one in yet or has not broken one in yet.

One more question is has anyone ordered their boat with the new Mercury 250 R V8 with the torquemaster?

My dealer has a new ProXS 4 on their demo boat and I laid my eyes on it yesterday. It is on a 921, running a 24 Fury 3. He claims way better holeshot, another 1-2 mph, and better fuel economy over the 2 strokes. Check out McCallister Marine on FB... they have videos of it running up there.

I own a 921/sho and love it! But right now, if I had a choice, I would be looking hard at that 250R. Did not know about that one.

I have ran a 721 with the new Pro XS V8 four stroke at Freedom Marine Center. That motor is a beast! Hole shot is incredible and the top end was just a tad faster than the two stroke. Props and set up will be a little different with the new four stroke but overall I believe it will be an all around better performer than the two stroke. My new one will be coming in the week of 8/20, can't wait to get it dialed in and get everyone some numbers.
