    Speedo tube broke in the cable run

    2007 200 Opti. Pulling out an old transducer cable and somehow the end got tangled in the speedo tube, I pulled too hard and the tube broke. Speedometer hasn't worked in years, can I just cut it back by the motor and plug it up? Don't really care about the speedometer.
