Are Lithium Batteries Acceptable for Use on a 2010 Mercury Optimax Pro XS?

Don, aside from Lithium batteries being very expensive, are there any concerns you have with using them as a starting battery for my 2010 Mercury Optimax 225 hp Pro XS 2-stroke; Serial #: 1B808562? Thank you.

I was looking into this Lithium Pro starting battery: M3110, 12V, 110Ah, 260 minutes reserve capacity, 1500mca, weight 31 lbs.

I use a Relion 100 HP for a cranking battery for a 250 Pro Xs. Not a single issue. And on top of that, no more friggn charging alarm issues due to battery discharge because of additional electronics load on the battery.

I've used a 100 Relion on my 2004 250XS and now 2016 300XS and the only problem is when it gets below freezing the motor barely turns over, but it does crank.

I would not have any concern with using them on an Optimax (mechanical shift) engine model.
