Before every game was on TV, John Ward & Bill Anderson painted a perfect picture of UT football.....good and bad. RIP.

John was a legend. I spent many days sitting in a deer stand listening to him on my headphones. Listened during a few weddings too. Not only were his depictions of the plays priceless, he was always professional and respectful of the other team. Big Orange County lost a good one. RIP John.
I knew of Kenny when I was in school at UT. A friend of mine and Kenny alternated weekends playing at a Knoxville bar. Both went to Nashville to cut a demo the same week. Nobody ever heard of my buddy.
When Kenny did that tribute after John's last game it was for sale as a CD single all over Knoxville. Gas stations, stores, etc. I've got the original on a CD that's never been took out of the package. I can't remember exactly, but I think the proceeds from it went to a John Ward Scholarship fund or something like that. Still, the powers that be at UT got their panties in a wad because the song used clips from John's broadcasts and they sued Kenny over it. They recalled the CD's and had to buy them back.
I've often wondered how many returned theirs. I did not the 2 I bought.
I listened to him for many years.
Definitely will be missed.
Give him 6!
Hunker down one more time!
Whoa Nellie!
Those 3 greats are all gone now.
Who controls John Gill?
