12” plate on a 461? Anybody tried it?

Curious if anybody here actually had or has a 461 with a 12” jackplate? If so, how does it do and would you go back to a smaller one?

With most Ranger's have built in setback most will run 6 -8 inch plate.Gains after that would be minimal at best.

    I have a 481vs with a 6" plate works good. Think a 12" would be a lot.

I'm going with the Hydrodynamics Rapid Jack Magnum and 6". I figured this is an old boat, don't want to stress the already extended set back built into the boat and most guys are running mid 60's with a 6' jack plate.
I'll let you all know how it turns out.

And I'm buying it from Tim "Fastbass Marine" Powell. I know he knows and sells quality. I know it's the best. I wish I had the money for Hydraulic, but don't have to have it right now.
