I’ve even thought of putting a straight axle on it to have a little lift to trailer and lowering the fenders to match. Lol

ChampionTrailers.com is a good source of parts and has tutorials on trailer repairs.
There are many sources of trailer axles and parts online. Redneck Trailer Parts is a component wholesaler to the trade.

Same measurements as all Customline's built for 20' Bullets with a single axle. You might note that the drop in that axle is only 1". The spindles are made to weld into a 2"x 2" square tube. They are welded into a 2"x 3" tube on 3 sides and reinforced on the open 1" side with a short piece of 2x2.
To further explain, on a regular 2x2 axle the centerline of the spindle will be of course in the center of the 2x2 axle, which puts it 1" away from all 4 sides of the axle.
On a 2x3 axle with the spindle welded to one side, the centerline of the spindle will be 1" away from 3 sides and 2" from the longer 3" side.
Inverting the axle will take out the 1" drop and make it the same spindle height as a regular 2" axle. This pic is of a 2x3 axle inverted to run the same height as a 2x2.

Thats spit on. I see u have done a little homework. So just going with a standard axle wouldn’t be an issue correct?

IMO I wouldn't put a standard 2x2 under my boat with just one axle.
The single axle 2x3 is a much stronger axle than a 2x2. It, along with heavier springs carry the same load as dual standard axles with lighter springs.
If you won't to get away from the drop then have them put the spindles in the axle accordingly or invert the axle when installed. If inverted you'll need to drill new locator pin holes and swap sides with caliper brackets.

What do you expect to pay for a direct fit axle?

Better check again... Keeping brakes on the trailer is a better idea and the law.
