    Pics of Cavitation Issue??

This is the 13.25” 17p prop on my Triton SP185/Etec 90.

I am looking to to upgrade to SS but before I do I’m attempting to make sure I pick the right prop the first time. When I bought the boat 3 weeks ago I noticed the paint was missing only through the center of the thrust side of the prop which leads me to believe there is a cavitation issue.

The motor is mounted on the 2nd hole, no jp. The edges of the prop have no knicks or scrapes and I just checked the bottom of the boat and there is no apparent defect leading to me to believe there would be bad water flow to the prop.

Before I decide to go SS, is this an issue that would worry anyone? The prop says Michigan Wheel on the hub so I think this prop is best to be used as a spare! LOL.

Any suggestions? 13 spline, 13.25” 17p...what would be a good SS 3 blade prop to look at?

Thats a bad paint job, not cavitation.
