    Thumbs Up 2018 Ram 3.4

I just got a 2018 Ram 1500 crew 4x4 with the 3.4. after about 22k miles the dang thing is averaging almost 30mpg mostly highway driving. It pulls my 19ft boat fine but does work to pull my 12ft V nose tandem cargo. I have say I am overall pretty impressed my hemi never got more than 14.

30 MPG with a crew cab 4 x 4 is pretty impressive. He says that's a 22K mile average, and he tows. I'm apprehensive.

sorry yeah a typo 3.6. no way it gets 22 towing lol. the thing does struggle to tow my goose rig I wouldn't recommend the 3.6 if you tow much but like I said the thing handles the boat well enough. drops down to 15 and it struggles on cruise control.constantly trying to find the right gear and revving up to 4500 on a grade.

to get 30 mpg, it has to be the 3.0 eco diesel.

fuelly website says the ave for the 3.6 is 16 & 22, with no one even reporting 30

most report the 3.6 doesn't get any better then the hemi.

I had 2-3.6's and now driving a hemi. Both of my 3.6's got 23-25 on hwy and combined about 20, towing boat about 12-13. My hemi gets 19-20 hwy, 16-17 mixed and 10-12 towing same boat. I'm leaning to going back to the 3.6 next year when it is trade in time.

I could show you the read out on the dash. seeing I am in Canada it reeds litres/100km and it is anywhere fom 8.9 to 9.5. that is knocking on 30mpg but our gallons are bigger
