    4 Stroke outboards "tiny pvs"

I know every one says plug all holes on pvs props for any 4 stroke outboard and I always have. Do you guys think that if we used the very small hole pvs plugs so it just let out a very little bit of air we could get out of the hole with a larger prop and not over rev on take off?? I'm not saying holes wide open just a tiny bit of air. Any one every try this?

My Sterling has a SHO , and I am running a vented 27 T1. I think my boat comes out the hole better like this. I tried a non vented T1 and did not like it.

You can still vent the prop with a four stroke

It depends on your motor, where the main torque band is, and when the exhaust gasses blow by enough to bypass the venting. Then prop condition plays a big role as well. Essentially, you don't want any venting during that main torque band, because venting causes your prop to slip therefore wasting efficiency.
