When I owned a couple Gambler bass boats one of my favorite things I liked about them was the floor trim for the outboard. It was so comfortable and easy to use since my foot was already there. I made this bracket out of aluminum and purchased two floor trim buttons from Gambler boats and did the install. My foot rest on the plate and I can easily trim the motor up and down without having to reach my fingers around to hit the blinker style switch. Even though I have a blinker style switch for both the trim and hydraulic jack plate I still find the floor trim to be extremely handy.
