6 ounces from a WORLD RECORD, Northern Snakehead the true FRANKENFISH.
This monster was caught in Accokeek Creek at Crows Nest in Stafford, VA a small creek connecting to the Potomac River. The fish weighed in at 17lbs 6oz, which was 6oz off the certified IGFA World Record. The Snakehead was just over 35" or almost 3ft in length. This monster Snakehead fell to a frog while fishing the end of the falling tide.

When I was stationed at mcb quantico (tbs) I would go out to the chop and the bays and throw top water frogs and shoot them with my bow...man that was a blast!

I see more and more bow fishing at night for them. There seems to be a growing market for them. Here in July VA can start selling them in restaurants.
