    Helix / 360 Startup

I have problems getting my Helix unit to recognize the 360 on startup. I may have to restart the Helix as many as 3-4 times before it recognizes the 360, even though I give it sufficient time (2-3 mins). This is also happening to a couple of my friends. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?

2-3 minutes is not long enough sometimes.

Turn the 360 on before the unit, WAIT until the unit recognizes the 360. I usually start them up when preparing to launch and then it's all ready when I get back to the ramp after parking.

OK Wayne, thanks. I just assumed that 2-3 mins was plenty.

no other units 360 direct to helix

No offense to Wayne he is the resident expert but I have tried it both ways when I turned on the 360 first I had issues like it would see the 360 but not give me the views availble .If I turn on my helix first and let it completely boot up and then hit the switch for the 360 within less than 3 minutes the helix sees it . Realisticly only a minute or two.

I don't have my 360 on its own switch. Should it Be? MY helix recognizes it in under 2 minutes at start up.

Did you read the installation instructions concerning a switch? Page 35

    Thanks Wayne,
I just read that page closer. Now I know why my battery is draining, I will disconnect until I get a switch.
    Thanks again.
