How does the Gatorbak relate to carpet resistance wise when un hooked and being backed into the water?

launching is somewhat similar to carpet, they are not super slick so that the boat will fall off backing down the ramp but it will be a smooth transaction as they go in the water the groves in the Gatorbaks will fill with water allowing the boat to float off with out friction, and because they drain the boat wont be frozen to the bunks on cold mornings on multi day tournaments,
