Hi, My name is Andy and I am new to the forum. I heard you guys could help me out. I have a Powerdrive V1 70lb trolling motor. The boat i bought used came with this motor as well as a co-pilot system for it. When I connected the battery and plugged in the co-pilot unit to the motor, the steering motor would come on and not stop turning. I tried a new V2 main board along with foot pedal (could not get a V1 foot pedal or main board) and the trolling motor worked great for about 2 months. I went out to my boat the other day and with the foot pedal disconnected, the steering motor was turning on its own until I disconnected the motor from the battery. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I don't want to pony up the money for another main board if the problem is just going to happen again in a couple months. I also don't want to drop another 1600$ on a new trolling motor. Thanks!

(I should add the original motor did not come with a foot pedal. I have abandoned trying the co-pilot)
