    2007 250 HPDI tilt/trim question...

was fishing a tournament yesterday and trim the motor all the way UP while we were fishing for a couple hours....went to leave our spot and the tilt/trim was locked and couldnt tilt it up or down, but the pump was still "running"...we knew you could bleed air out to release it for it to come back down, but couldn't find the screw to do this until we got back to the landing, and it turns out this is all it was...now it works. Was wondering what would cause this to happen? Low fluid? There is some "screeching" with the tilt/trim when I tilt it up and down but its not that bad...buddy said that is probably because it is low on tilt/trim fluid...if so does anyone have any pictures of where to fill the fluid for the tilt/trim? any help is appreciated, thanks!

There is a little cap on the trim motor assembly where you put fluid. Raise motor up all the way and look at the back near the trim motor and you will see it. The screeching is just going to be the end of the tilt rams rubbing on the pads. They all do it eventually. Just dab a little grease on the end of the rams and it will go away.
