Just bought an 89 margay with 115 mariner tower of power. Got some rookie questions, what hole should the motor be mounted in, what prop should I run( no jackplate) I am more interested in hole shot than top end, the trailer is factory but it has 2 bow roller and the transom of the boat sticks past the back of trailer so it almost looks like the boat needs to go forward 6" or more, the tie down straps are going over the transom bottom.

We think you most likely have a factory trailer, the transom tie downs should go direct to the eyes.
Great boat, drives like a sports car. Not sure what the pad to shaft was on that combination. On the trailer, are you loading it all the way to where the eye is next to the roller?
