For this of you that have a Z521 L with a PRO XS 2s what kind of speed are you getting? This morning with 85* dead com water all my gear and the seats in I could do 69. The other day in 60* temps with much drier air i hit 69.5 with a CO and his gear. The motor was turning 5950 so I have some more RPM to go.

V8? That's a really good number considering what I'm getting with an Opti...what prop are you running? I have a 4 stroke on order

Haven't gotten my yet so can't help yet,but I know Mercury is wanting every boat manufacturer to go down 1 size in props to what they were running on previous motors,but this V8 is a high rpm motor I think it's around 6400 on the rev limiter and if the hole shot is good as you say it is I would move to a 24 Fury and a 25 fury if that goes well.Paul Nickolls ran one on a bullet which I know is different but he started out with a 28 an ran like a 101mph said there was more hp's left and wound up with like a 32 or 33 pitch.Let us know how it goes......Originally Posted by howieranger
