Not wanting to fish Harris in this heat. Just not wanting to put Bass in the live well early and carry around all day to have them die before weigh in.Just not good for the fishery. Lately in this 90*+temperatures I've seen a lot of dead fish brought to weigh in. Not wanting to be a part of that.

Use g juice, both livewells and keep rec pumps on the whole time = no dead fish, and if you are truely concerned still then with a little improvising and amazon shopping both livewells can have a home made koolwell system for less than $150 with independent thermostats to keep the water at a specific temp.

I manage the livewell by not fishing in 90*+.

Agreed on the G Juice. I have put deep hooked fish in that stuff that I just knew were goners and some even bellied up. I left them in to see what would happen planning to have them for dinner and a few hours later they were swimming and apparently happy. I don't run my pumps non-stop, usually just when I run the outboard and that seems to be enough. Also, freezing some water bottles and sticking them in there helps too.

I hope you guys make it out tomorrow. We can discuss ending a little earlier due to the heat at the ramp in the morning.

With the steady heat wave I've been out several times in the past couple weeks. First light, around 5:30am, till 11:00 am around 6 hours. Like to make Harris but don't think I could make the tournament till 2:00 pm.

Let's make it 6am to Noon. We can avoid the worst of the heat that way.

Thanks Bruce if not for the heat factor the 2:00 weigh-in would be ok but with 90*+ 12:00 will be better. I guess I'll make plans to be at Harris in the morning around 5:00 am getting ready for 6:00 blast off. Maybe with the tournament time adjustments more than 3 boats will show this time! I

Cool. Yeah, I hope so too. I know a couple of guys have a club tournament tomorrow but maybe we'll get some guys to come out. 3 boats or not, we're fishing!

I hate the idea of having a tournament with only 3 boats. We all signed up in this Piedmont Series thinking there would be more than 3 boats entering each tournament. Hope more show this Harris tournament than last one. Will say a lot about the folks that signed up at the start.
