Hello everyone. Tell me please, what the Thru-Hull transducer is suitable for Solix.

Thank you, Wayne. I'm sorry, but I probably did not correctly ask the question. I meant 2D Thru-Hull transducer attached with the Y cable for depth reading at hi speed.

No. The thickness of the bottom of the boat is large. It is needed precisely Thru-Hull such as, for example Airmar B60, but it unfortunately has a 9 pin connector. Perhaps there is some kind of adapter? But I did not find

The one in post #2 is a thru-hull that does all the sonar functions that the MEGA SOLIX has.

If you must use two transducers instead of one, there are a couple of 2D thru-hull transducers that would need the Y cable connection to go along with the transom MEGA SI transducer. Just need to choose what dual frequency band you want:
    83/200 kHz is XPTH 14 20 T
    50/200 kHz is XPTH 14 74 T

The transducers are shown on the Humminbird website-----

If you use xp 14 20 for DB, is the 2D sonar worse than with solix mega transducer? Do you lose 2d chirp and is your 2D freq just 83/200?

Zero difference, they have the same 2D crystal.
The unit does the CHIRPing, not the transducer. The transducer is just a combo speaker/microphone to broadcast sound and detect return sound echoes.

I have installed XP 14 20 but I have a plastic bottom in the boat. A Thru-Hull transducer is needed by my friend and he only needs a 2D transducer. And the stock transducer will be installed on Jack Plate
About XPTH 14 20 T: or I do not understand how to install it or it will be broken on the first fishing. We have a lot of debris in the water. Does anyone have a picture of how to install it?

It is exposed below the bottom of the hull and would be subject to impact damage.

You drill a 1"+ hole through the bottom of the hull, put the cable and stem through the hole from the outside, screw on the holding nut on the inside and connect the cable to the unit.

Thru-hull means a hole through the hull with the transducer on the exterior. Just look at the picture of the transducer on the Humminbird website, you will see the parts. It comes with installation instructions.
You can view/print the installation instructions here:

I am probably in over my head but I thought you could adapt Airmar to any brand fish finder. Not so?

Yes, if the transducer is tuned to the frequencies the unit has and you have the sonar brand cable to splice to the transducer.
The B60 looks to be 50/200 kHz.

The AIRMAR B60 is surface mounted on the exterior just like the Humminbird XPTH transducers, just has a smaller exposed profile. There is a cable to splice to the transducer for the SOLIX/ONIX:
    https://fishfinders.factoryoutletsto...gitemid=435584

This one is like the AIRMAR B60 and is a Humminbird transducer 83/200 kHz with the number series/Helix plug. That would need the AD1429 adapter for the SOLIX.

I have seen pictures of flush mounted thru-hull transducers also that take a tapered hole through the hull and the face of the transducer is level with the hull. Don't remember what they were.

Yes I have seen a wiring diagram showing how to splice Airmar to Bird, but of course the link I posted to it has changed on HB site

One few more question just to get the right parts. Where does the solix read the temp? There is XP 14 20 T(with temp) and XP 14 20 (no temp). Which one should i get? Does it read the temp from mega SI transducer?

Using a Y cable, the temp comes from the MEGA SI transducer.

Exactly! AD1429. I remember that I saw the adapter cable 9 pin to 14 pin. Is he exactly the right thing for Solix? Hummingbird does not let him out any more. I searched it and did not find it anywhere.

The description is wrong on the new website. The cable has a #9 connector on one end and a 14 pin plug on the other.

The #9 connector is 7-pin plug.

Yes that cable is available, just do a web search for Humminbird AD1429.

Here it is on the Humminbird website-----

One more. I got Onix 10 Si + Solix 15 Si. Can i just plug the xp 14 20 shoot thru hull to onix, and run solix with 14mSiDB Y + XM14 20 mdi T? So i vould use autochart with onix with high speed readings. Will i face interferance with onix thru hull and solix db?
