    RT188 Anyone break steering cable??

I've got a 2014 rt188. Went out today to do some fishin fo find I had no steering!!! Crawled under the console and found that my steering cable was broke clean in half about 12 inches down the cable behind the side wall!!!
Everything was fine when I ran her a week ago and has been sitting in garage since.

Anyone ever have this issue? If so, how did you resolve and do you think this would be a Ranger warranty issue/covered replacement?

Switch to baystar hydraulic steer, you will not regret it.

Its a wearable item, 4 years out of the steering cables is actually pretty good. Its replacement is not a covered item.

I’ve worn out a couple of clutch packs in a NFB system before four years and broke two steering cables before that time frame in standard testing in another brand. It stinks, but it’s not unheard of. Agree with above post, either get a new cable or better yet switch to Baystar.
