    Motorguide not working

Hey guys I recently received a motorguide tour te782v trolling motor that was taken off of a boat at our shop from an upgrade. The guy was complaining of it some times now working. So I have it now on my little jon boat and I want to see if I can get it fixed and working enough that it’s usable. So what it’s doing is when you run it everything works fine. Say you come up on a fishing spot and you stop for a few min to fish and then go to move and it’s like there is no power. The motor won’t do anything. I have replaced the momentary switch with no luck. Has any one else had an issue like this? The circuit board doesn’t look burnt any where.

Try nudging the prop (motor off) with a paddle to move the motor to a new spot and see if it goes.

If you have a Marinco plug, disassemble and check the screws for tightness.
