In honor of Frankie, I propose Yates (Middle Pond). It has been a while since I have had a 5 fish bag for 4.5lbs .

Last time I was there not even a holiday week jet skis every where. Then you toss in the pontoons and pleasure boating traffic it was all Rock n Roll. I'd take Martin in the summer time compared to Hardin, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure you could get back into some slough to minimize the "Rock n Roll", but then you would have to go through it to get there.

I'm just expressing my opinion on this lake. If chosen more than likely I will go if it does not conflict with anything.

    Augustine said the same thing.

Regarding Yates, it looks like they are pulling the plug on it this week to do some work on the spillway this summer and next.

Therefore, I would like to change my vote to SwiftCreek on the River.

I am not excited about hitting any of the big lakes during the holiday week. (I am open to other locations with less traffic)

It says they are working on Thurlow dam which is the lake below Yates. I don't think Yates will be affected with lower water.

"While work is being done at Thurlow, nearby recreation locations remain available to the public, including East Bank Tailrace Site, West Bank Tailrace Site and Yates Dam Boat Launch."

Let me know if you still want to change your vote because you can only change a vote once.

I am good with Yates as long as we are sure there will be some water in it.

I'll go with Yates. That *&@# Alabama river keeps eating my lunch and the last trip to swift creek took all my lunch money.
