Repeating a good tip to keep electronic screens clean

Do not try this, Rain ex could eat your screen away. I use a poly carbonate child on my hockey helmet. I was I need of a replacement shield but instead tried reviving it with Rain ex. It disolved the surface of my shield, destroyed it.

I added protective film to my screens (sold for i-pad screens). Subsequent cleaning is simple with water and microfiber cloth.

I use the eyeglass cleaning wipes. You can buy them by the hundred and easy to store in the boat. Open one up clean the screen and throw away. Been using them for years and they work great. Walmart has them near the eyeglass center.

My Lowrance manual said's ....for badly soiled screen's use water or common window or len's cleaner with a microfiber rag ...no harsh cleaner .
On my older LCX 113c Hd units

I soak my Lowrance micro fiber towel in hot water. Let it sit on the screen for a few minutes and then wipe clean with a dry microfiber.
