    Madisonville

    Any fish to be caught in the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville? My new deer lease in about 30 minutes from there and I'm looking for a fishing spot.

    Don't know about the fishing but I think I had a pretty good steak somewhere around there, Can't remember the name of the place.

    Bayou Lacombe is not far from there. Decent fishing at times.

    Bayou Lacombe, Bayou Liberty, and Bayou Bonfouca.
    Huge specks along northshore from Lacombe to Hwy 11 in the fall.

    Tchefuncte is good fishing... was really good for numbers a couple years ago.. I haven’t been over there in a pretty good while.. when I lived in Slidell I focused on lacombe, liberty, bonfiuca, and pearl more and kinda forgot about tchefuncte..

    I have a friend that fishes it a lot in his pirogue and catches pretty consistently.
