My mega 10 on the bow goes into demo mode because it says not connected to transducer. If I turn it on before the trolling motor is deployed, it works fine. I end up leaving it on all day. I am a little worried about doing this as I heard it is bad to have the transducer pinging all day when out of the water. Thoughts?
It won't go into Demo if you turn it off in the Setup menu.
If you are concerned about the transducer pinging when out of the water, turn Sonar OFF in the power button short cut menu. Then turn it back on when the motor is deployed.
