Any northern members on here that could give me Lake Michigan updates?
I live near Indy and don’t want to make the drive if the winds blowing the wrong way, etc.
Targeting smallies near shore, ( harbor ).

I can’t remember the name of the gambling boat, but it’s located off Indianapolis Bolevuard,
and there was lots of awesome structure that I want to fish.

I did a salmon trip from there a few yrs back, and that’s about all I remember of it.

You can fish any harbor from Hammond to Michigan City. The people in the Harbor will give you grief but its state water. Always check with the Harbor Master to be sure. As far as wind just watch the weather channel.Post some pics if you get on em.

do you know or heard if the fish are in the harbors, or should I wait till fall?

I don't fish the harbor much, I have caught small moth of the break wall on a buzz bait years ago. I'd say they are there. Do a google search and you should find better info than I can give you. From what I hear they farther West the better. But they are in the Michigan City harbor.
