    Solas props

Anybody ever run one on a SHO? I see they make a 15”1/8 ventless. Any good?

I tried a 25p Scorpion. I had a hard time getting 5800 rpms out of it. They are way stiffer in pitch than other props. I ended up selling it because it caused severe bow-hook.

Biggest thing with the solas on mine was I had to get away from the solas hub...it's junk.... or the plastic quick silver Mercury that break...won't stand up to to the torque of the engine.. They didn't in mine.. That prop now has a mercruiser Flo torque solid hub in it....ain't no spinning that hub...

Is the mercruiser flo torque solid hub still working for you @mrlawler1? I recently ran a 25 solas on my fx20 and hit 76 at 5900 rpms and felt that I could move the engine up a bit and get it at least to 6000 if not a bit past. However, before I could do that I spun my hub. The prop was incredible on hole shot and acceleration for me and had no problem easily getting me to about 73-74 before needing some distance to gain more mph.
