I’d rather have a rejuvenated Curado 50 with micro module gearing.

This. The average person has no clue about the DC system, and always have problems.

Exactly. Hell, I'd love it if they brought back the E series Citica. Still my favorite reel.

The 70 is a great alternative.

If they solidify a 50 series reel again like the core / Curado it will seriously lock the market.

I think that's gonna change with this one at 249 retail. A 50/70 with MM gears would be nice too...but the current 70 is pretty damn nice on its own.

There is no point in upgrading DC bearings. The DC system regulates spool speed. See? The average person has no clue about the DC technology. Should have left this stuff in Japan.

I'm in for two! Can't wait to test these bad boys out!

I would love to see an updated 50 and 70 series as well!

it seems this new Curado DC will be equipped with the old generation of DC system "iDC4", which initially used back to 2010/2011 Calcutta DC and older metanium DC (2007?)

I wish it has the current generation DC system "iDC5" which is used in 17 Scorprion DC and 15 Metanium DC...

It would be way more expensive if that was the case, they were trying to target a mid range price point and honestly I think they hit a homerun.

I've actually fished the reel for a day. It's a very nice reel and I like the "DC whine" it makes when casting. I think guys will really like it when they fish it. They're up for pre-order at The Tackle Trap...
