Make sure you get the tilt brackets.... I would have been in a hell of a mess had I not had tilt brackets when my spike would not retract.

Are you saying that with the bracket you were able to push the talon horizontal even when the spoke was deployed into the bottom?

Yes, they will tilt on to the back deck. Make sure you have a ratchet strap in the boat to hold them down... You just never know when it can happen......and it happened to me after only 7 outings with the boat. It's just better to be prepared.

My spike was not stuck in the bottom, it would not retract the fiberglass stake all the way in so it was hanging out 3' and I could not have loaded the boat on the trailer had I not had the tilt brackets installed.

I just got my boat back from the dealer after the warranty repairs to my Talons. Apparently, my Talons must have been manufactured on a Friday because the cables were twisted in one Talon but the other Talon needed the stake and the 2nd stage along with pullys and cable replaced. Not sure how it got so messed up unless it wasn't put together properly because I have only had the boat out about 7 times before they jammed. Hopefully everything goes smooth from here on out.

Thanks for all of the input. I got my Talons installed with the correct brackets and the tilt brackets.
