Boat and engine are new to me, only had it 3 weeks. Last night I took cowl off and see someone put a 200 ecu on it. Question is does that do any good? Does it really make that much of a difference? Do I need to make any modifications to the cowl for more air flow?

I have a 93 with 200 ECU it made no difference, but is much better than the failed one it replaced
