    2012 Nitro Z8

I have a 2012 Nitro Z8 with 250 Pro XS. Running a 25p 3-blade Fury (all plugs out). I'm getting 5500 rpm and about 62 mph on gps. Holeshot is moderate and haven't found any gain by using the jackplate (actually loose speed when I raise the jackplate). Wondering if this is boat is maxed out or missing something on the setup?

I have a 15 and get 71+- some with 25 tempest plus, rumor has it that the bravo4 xs in a 26,27,28 pitch is the cats meow,

they say to add a pitch for fury props, so call yours in your head a 26, and fury's prefer more depth than tempest and bravo.

the bravo xs they say a 26 pitch is a 25 with added cup,

to me your just to heavy for your prop as the fury tends to run best with light loads and your not getting it spun up all the way, so I would try a 26 bravo xs but you may over rev. You can get more speed and rpm out of your boat, I'm not a professional prop tester but have read a lot of set ups for our boats and I can't wait for a reason to get a bravo xs

Are you referring to a 4-blade or 3-blade bravo xs?

I have a 2012 Z8 with a 250XS as well. 26P Fury and 27P and 28P Bravo 1 work best for me. The 26 Fury is actually the fastest at about 74 mph with two people, two power pole blades, and 4 batteries in the rear. The Bravos are about 2mph slower but handle better.

That's interesting, I have five batteries and two 12' talons and your still getting 10 mph on me. Are you running 4 or 3 blades on the props?

The Fury is a 3 blade and the Bravo 1's are 4 blades. All at 2.5" below pad.
