You ever wonder how many nasty things that are probably much worse than spit and boogers your shoes come into contact with daily? I'd like to imagine a lot! There are much bigger things to complain about than this lol

Most restrooms are not as filthy as the area around the gas pumps. Besides, 99.99999% of the time I don't use public restrooms.

Y-all can trod through the snot an spit piles all you want but I'll pass on that. I can only imagine what the floor mats in y-all's vehicles look or smell like.

Just making an observation. An I know for a fact what I come in contact with is nowhere near as bad as whats on the ground around gas pumps.

Can I keep everything off my shoes? Hell no but I can keep all the above mentioned crap off of them by using the least used pumps at the station. Those are the ones the lazy people wont use because they are too far for them to walk in to pay their $3 dollars for gas and $40 for scratch offs and $25 for Newports. Plus those people always pull into the first and easiest pump to get to.

Rider, do you use wet wipes after each fish catch too? Glad you weren't raised where I was, sheeesh!!

Not only is it against the law in NJ to pump Ethyl, you can't spit on the sidewalk.

In over 50 years of driving, I never knew that loogies were a gas pump hazard. I've always hated pumping gas were there was a diesel pump next to it. Those are always nasty with diesel on the ground to have to walk in.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

When I gassed the truck at the "Kum & Go" near Stockton, MO, I used a paper towel to grab the gas nozzle. There seemed to be a lot of people that like to Kum and Go. I know I didn't waste any time leaving.

I type We get the OP and make Him dance barefoot through the islands of pumps. The place mentioned in post #77 might be what We're looking for??

No, it's not just a Mississippi thing. Same thing in my area, and they also block traffic flow by parking in front of checkout. Can't be walking too far to buy your smokes scratcher tickets!
