    SN 1B918018

I have a 2103 250 Pro XS that had a crack on or near #4 cylinder... What would cause this??? Had it replace under warranty this week... Just wondering... Dan

    Casting flaw
    Core shift
    Incorrectly torqued head bolts.
Could have been a foreign object between head and block when assembled.

I believe Mercury had this problem in earlier models, but had since revised.
