Poor guy. He trusted the police and they cheated him out of his hard earned dope. No telling what he had to do to buy that stuff. Those evil cops.

He was duped. Putnam County, it’s a damn shame as the county has some of the most beautiful scenery in Tennessee which is saying a lot. Meth, the scourge of the earth.

Had a guy come to our PD about 15 years ago with the same complaint, thought he had been ripped off by being sold fake meth. He contacted my Lieutenant who tested it. Came back and told him he had good news and bad news. You didn't get ripped off but I need you to step through this door......

"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments

Hope you're joking but if not:

    645. Entrapment—Elements

Entrapment is a complete defense to a criminal charge, on the theory that "Government agents may not originate a criminal design, implant in an innocent person's mind the disposition to commit a criminal act, and then induce commission of the crime so that the Government may prosecute." Jacobson v. United States, 503 U.S. 540, 548 (1992). A valid entrapment defense has two related elements: (1) government inducement of the crime, and (2) the defendant's lack of predisposition to engage in the criminal conduct. Mathews v. United States, 485 U.S. 58, 63 (1988). Of the two elements, predisposition is by far the more important.
