    721 Pro Xp Hole Shot

Mercury 250 Pro XS. So I have a 26P Fury 3 blade. I have all three plugs in it but not the plugs that fill the holes just the plugs that make the holes smaller. Would this cause my boat to have a terrible hole shot? Boat runs good on top end but out of the hole its slow!

It was blowing out on take off that is why I put them in. Should I try one first to see if that helps?

    what is the motor height?

small holes in the plugs, or medium holes in the plugs?

take out one plug and try

the holes, regardless of size, have no effect on top speed, only the hole shot.

I have no idea what size plugs they are they came with the prop. I will take a picture when I get home. My motor is on a non hydraulic
jackplate so I'm not sure the height.

Take one out and run it. If it's still sluggish take another. That should help.

My 721 did the best with no plugs at all and I have a 26 fury. I started out with 3 plugs and it wouldn't plane off at all and took them out 1 at the time and tested. Figured out that it did the best with no plugs at all and I've read that most people seem to run that prop with no plugs at all also.

    Fury shouldn't need any plugs.

Do you guys feel the same about a Fury 4? I have a 26p Fury 4 on my 721, and it seems to like 2-3 plugs in for the hole shot. Just curious if anyone has any experience with the prop. I really like it, as it sticks when I put the jackplate down, and allows me to drive the boat easily.

Well a couple of questions, what year boat, what size manual jackplate, what lower unit?

I have a 2013 with the 8" manual, torquemaster gen 1 lower unit, running a 25 Fury with no plugs. My prop-to-pad is 3.25". Hole shot is great.
