    Question Low voltage/power reduction alarm

    Im on the water at about 30mph, alarms beeeeeeeeps and i have a Low Voltage/power reduction alarm on the smart gauge and the engine shuts off... cranks but wont start.what could this be?

    Possible stator or loose flywheel magnets.

    Tech said it probably is the compensator, what are your toughts on that?

    He told me its use is to transform electricity, im not sure if he said compensator or capacitor.

    There are no electricity transform-ers in an ETEC's power system using anything called compensators.

    You may need to listen more closely or either find another tech. A comptuer running Evinrude diagnostics will show any code being set and assist in diagnosis rather than mostly speculation.

    They did run the computer on it, it said that the 55V system was faulty, anyway they will get the part tommorow, if changing it doesnt fix the problem i guess they were wrong!
