Small floor repair in the '92 295

Figured I'd post a few pics. Wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. Long story short, the drain got covered with leaves while in storage causing water to sit on the drain. The wood rotted so I has to do a cut out and replace a bit. Thankful that the stringers were all encased to prevent further damage. I basically cut out the bad spot (I actually cut out more than the first cutout pic) extending over the passenger-side middle stringer. Replaced the wood with marine grade plywood. I sealed the bottom and the hole with resin before screwing it down. I also applied resin to the drain channel for extra measure. After I screwed it down, I glassed the new wood with overlap to seal it up. Finally, I laid down new carpet and a drain cover.

Looks good. When I did mine, one thing I did was seal the plywood around the drain hole so it wouldn't rot out again from getting wet.
