    Shortening shaft Minn Kota Terrova

I have a 60 in Terrova going to shorten to 54 in. I'm aware of the process the only thing but do you wrap the coil cord a few more times to shorten it or will it coil up on it's own? Seems to be a little long.

I did it to my PDV2. I went from 54" to 48". I did not trim the cord or do anything with it. It did hang a little looser while trailering but ultimately it did not bother me. You can twist the motor as you stow it so it lays on to of the shaft to avoid it from bouncing around if you choose. Otherwise when it's deployed you really won't notice a difference.

No issues when I shortened my old Terrova to 56" hopefully two more won't either.

Ok just wondering about the length of coil bouncing around while running long distances.

Pretty sure a 54 and 60 use the same cord. I did the same thing and didn't shorten mine,
