2003 901 CDX Transducer location

Posting for a buddy. He has a 2003 901 CDX and just got a Garmin Striker plus 7SV. He wants to know where to mount the transducer on the transom. Any one have pics of where the best location would be?

Does he have a jackplate?

Yes it does have a jackplate

You could use a transducer shield and saver mount on the jackplate. That saves you from putting hole in the transom itself.
