    IBN state finals

So now that it's been moved from the Ohio River to Monroe, anyone want to predict what it will take to make the state team? My guess is 15lbs because it's fishing tough and with 150+ boats it's going to be crowded .

    18-19lbs.
    I don’t think it’s fishing tough.

No way it only takes 9.5lbs per day to win and 4.5 per day to qualify.
God I wish I could fish it.

I'm there 2 days a week and it's beyond sucking right now lol. The locals that live in Bloomington and are on it all the time aren't getting limits. Look at all the different tourney results this year, it's been bad but we'll see what happens.

I caught more keepers on last Sunday than I have caught in a entire year.
It is so far from sucking that it’s not funny. Also been having some good big fish. They are just not doing what everyone wants them to be doing. But if that is sucking, I want to see what it does when it’s on fire.

Maybe you're just that good. You need a tournament partner?

    Nope. Partners suck.
And I’m sure neither of you believe me. And that’s good.
I know I suck. That’s why the lake can’t be that bad.

I believe you caught em Russ, I don't believe it's good in general though and most will struggle.

They do a good job of sitting up the creeks waiting for bass boats to run by, dont ask me how I know. :(

I have to disagree. The IDNR IS actually doing something to make things better for bass fishing.....there are 35 pallet structures out there now that were not there a month ago. The IBF and DNR are working together to make these places better. There is a plan to add a ton of structures to the lake this summer and will be followed next year with a largemouth bass stocking.

    https://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/file...-plan-2017.pdf

The IBF has a gofundme account to pay for the stocking for next year. I know a lot of folks say our licenses and lake fees need to do this......it just isn't going to happen now. Well, the IBF has decided to be a leader in this endeavor. The DNR is studying the stocking in accordance with the habitat program and what the IBF is stocking....we have been assured that if they see positive results the DNR will put money into largemouth stocking. We are doing this to make something happen folks. Any little bit can help. Why not pay 5 dollars toward the stocking program over buying a cheap bait....every little bit helps. We are making things happen......we just ask for anything you can give. We have raised 2,200 to this point but need much more for a meaningful stocking of Monroe. This program could really move us into a great place. I would appreciate all support. I also encourage you all to reach out to your state reps to let them know they need to allocate more funding to the stocking of largemouth bass. The more I have become involved with the DNR I have realize the DNR actually gets a bad rap as the politicians control the money not them. The IBF is working on this as well......your help would be appreciated. Sorry to jump on my soap box, but we really have an opportunity here.......the IBF and DNR are actually in alignment for the first time since I have ever known and it is going to lead to great things.....we have some biologists in place that really do care. We just need everyone to band together and help.

    Thanks guys
