    Map update problem

    Saw on active captain app a map update is available. Tried to download it, couldn't. Got this -

    I reported your specific download error to appropriate folks and they are investigating. Have you tried the download again to see if error persists?

    I would like to chime in on this topic with my issues FWIW. I tried to download an update for my 2017 LakeVu Ultra card through Garmin express and it would fail at 70-80% every time..always getting hung up at 14.8GB. I called tech support and I ended up trying 3 different internet connections and 4 different computers. So finally after a couple days of hammering Garmin customer support they ended sending me a pre-programmed card. There is an issue with something on Garmin's end for sure.

    This was last week by the way.

    I tried it again, looked like it was working. When I tried to view maps on the app, their are no contour lines, and it puts me about 30 miles away. Isn't the icon on the right, with a boat in the crosshairs (blue one) supposed to put you at current location?

    I went to my charts, us lake view detail map, it says it's not downloaded. I click on it, no option to download it.

    I didn't check the maps when I updated to v6.2. I've downloaded v7 to my phone, need to put it on the units. I'll check then. It's going to be a day or two before I do it.

    This is what's on active captain app, after I thought I downloaded map update. I click on it, it takes me to what is now, a basemap. Shows waypoints, no contours.
    Still have the issue of putting me in the wrong spot.

    I deleted active captain app, reloaded it. Re-downloaded lakevu map. Can now view contours on mapped lakes.
    Haven't connected to plus unit yet, I'm curious as to what will happen.
