    GLoomis BFS rod???

I know there are a lot of good options from other manufactures. I am a GLoomis fan. Their NRX/GLX rods have made me happy and they have always taken good care of me, so that is what I am looking to buy. I have a Conquest BFS reel coming in, and am looking for a Loomis rod to pair it with. I'll be using it for Ned rigs, 1/4oz and less traps, small jigs, and other lights stuff. It will be my one real light non-spinning setup.

A 802, 852, or a 892 would make a great Ned Rig rod depending on the size you want.

I have a GLX 852c and an NRX 802c and both do such a nice job of flinging small, light stuff around the only spinning setup I use is my dropshot rig (NRX 822s). I have the NRX 802c paired with a Steez SV TW and the GLX852c usually has a Steez SV103 attached.

My initial thought was a MBR series rod...a NRX 842c MBR or a Conquest 782c MBR/842c MBR because they are a little slower and I'm goin to throw some small cranks with treble hooks. Maybe I should just go jig/worm NRX...

Your awesome reel for this rod will have a great drag to handle cranks with small treble hooks.

I use my GLX852c as my primary spybait rod and while the spybaits aren't exactly light, the treble hooks don't get much smaller.

852 or 892 just depending how clear your water is as if you fish very clear water and mainly Smallmouth I would go at the 892 otherwise I'd probably look to the 852.
Where are the BIG ones? When are we going?

Question. I'm curious. Shouldn't a rod with a soft enough tip to cast lures in the 1/16-3/16 oz. range also be soft enough to handle small treble hook lures?

there isn't a TRUE BFS rod available or coming. If you need a slower action rod look at IMX PRO. Dan

If you can find a 820 or 822 dropshot rod in the casting version on eBay I’d go that route they are getting harder to come across now but those rods are perfect also a Dobyns Extreme 702hp

I caught a good deal from someone I have bought Loomis rods from in that past and snagged a Conquest 842c MBR for $450. I hope they work well together.
