250 SHO rough idle

I have a 2011 Ranger with a 250SHO. It's got around 500 hrs on it with about 22 hours since new powerhead.
The motor has developed a rough idle. Starts good and runs strong. If I push the pedal down slightly it smooths out. It is idling at about 650. Anybody got any ideas besides the usual check the spark plugs and check the gas quality? Any suggestions wold be appreciated.

Time for new fuel filters?
----- if your handy they are not too hard to change
Fuel injectors dirty?
----- Once filters are good something like Yamaha Ring Free works well on minor issues.
------A good injector shop can help out

Poor quality mechanic?
Weak electrical connection(s) ???

Sounds like a throttle position sensor has a rough spot.

Took it out yesterday and it started right up. everything seemed normal until it started getting warm. As it warmed up the idle got rougher and after a long run when it's pretty hot and I pull up to my fishing spot it is really ragged so it seems like it's related to the engine heating up. Has anybody ever experienced that?
