2005 200 Pro XL set up

I hope someone can help me with set up. I have just purchased 200pro xl with Yamaha 225 OX66. Boat has a 6” slide master jack plate. Wondering what pitch prop is best? Also does anyone know where I can get an owners manual and a wiring diagram? All the lights cut off intermittently but graphs stay operable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Rocky

You should be able to turn a 26 Trophy with that motor. My boat is the same hull and I can with my 200HO although she is a strong one. These hulls love weight in the azz and love lift all around. They need a 4 blade if you run in rough water a lot. If mostly always calm or small chop a 3 blade is fine, 26 or even a 27 Tempest.

Thanks for the info tdt91. Ok ran the bot today. Then boat has a power Tech 4 blade prop. Pretty loaded weight in the back. 69.5. Don’t know if that is good or bad. What will it run with the 27-26 pitch prop?

That's not bad at all. With some tweeking you may get a couple more out of it but I'm not real knowledgeable about your motor.

8" jackplate here, 27" Yamaha T1 that is balanced, blueprinted, and cup added for lift. The prop is 2 5/8" below the pad. Mid 70's all day long and 77.1 in cooler months.

I also have a 27" power tech TRO4 that's balanced and blueprinted and it runs almost exactly the same speeds. It has a slower holeshot and lifts the rear of the boat, which I'm not fond of.

I'd suggest the tempest or Yamaha prop balanced and blueprinted. The b&b can add 2-3 MPH.

    Thanks tdt91 and BuzzB8
I think I am going to pull this 4 blade and go with a Tempest or Yamaha T1. I really appreciate everyones input. I am going to make some changes mid week next week. I will update then. Can I use the same guts from the prop I have to run the tempest?

I agree to get rid of that 4 blade. The Yamaha doesn’t really like the 4 blades. T1 or Tempest will be your best prop.

No prob man, it's been more than a week since I've been here anyway because I've been down in SC for the BASS Nation Eastern Regional. You are pretty much spot on for spinning the 25p. A 26 will get you a couple more MPH and bring the RPM down to about 5800

Don’t know my prop to pad depth. Plate is a 6” slidemaster.

Look at the top of the stratos boats page and the bottom sticky will explain how to get the measurement. It even has pictures.

Ok. 13.75 pad. 9.5 middle of prop shaft. 4.25 below the pad. Do these numbers sound right?
ran 69.4 with 500 pounds of people 1/2 tank of gas and pretty close to a full load. Livewells were not full.
Running a 27p Yamaha T1 @5650rpm with 6” slidemaster jackplate. Thank you guys for all of your input.
