My setup: 20XDC, 225proxs, 27P Hydromotive, 12 inch set back Hydrodymanic B2. My problem is I just got my LU Gen 2 TM back from Bob's who installed a Big foot low water nose cone. I figured setting the motor height "even" with the pad would be a good starting point. I tested it out and im barely getting 10psi. Everyone i talked to said i should be able to raise it up well above pad. Suggestions? Thoughts?
You should be able to go up 1 1/4" -1 1/2" above with 14" of setback. Not sure about 12" though. Did they put a water pump kit in when they did the cone?
Yes, it has the two big hoses at the top i assume thats what it is.
I’d go ahead and make a little test run at 1” above and see what the pressure it there.

I was thinking the same thing but logic tells me if i have little pressure even with pad that it would be less 1" above lol
You may need a new water pump. You need one every year anyway

You might double check your self on prop to pad. Making sure your on a level surface when measuring and that its level. After that you might drop motor a few clicks and then run it to see if it changes.you should gain psi. 10psi is at wot correct? And like others have said if it doesn' already have a new waterpump then I'd replace it.

You could also have grit, sand or small rock in the water pressure gauge line or fitting.
Disconnect the tubing at the powerhead and gauge and blow it out with compressed air. Remove the powerhead fitting and make sure it's clear as well and while the fitting's off blow into the port where the fitting goes!

If it’s a pro xs I’d make sure the compressor strainer wasn’t plugged before you get too deep into it.

I clean my strainer twice a year due to fishing in muddy lakes. A restriction somewhere else is possible. And yes 10 psi WOT. I will check pad height but im pretty sure its even now. Thanks for all the tips

Id check to make sure theres nothing like welding slag or grinding dust that got dislodged and got hung up somewhere

So i raised the motor up to a 1" above pad and still only 8psi at WOT,dropped the plate back to 1/2 below pad and i get 12psi at WOT. I also shot air through the water pressure line and cleaned the strainer. Im out of ideas
Is it running hotter than it was before pressure problem? I would think you would overheat very quickly if you only had 10 psi at wot.
Is the line going to your gauge somewhere pinched, have a crack or hole maybe one of the connectors not together good?

I was thinking it would hot with only 8psi but no alarms or is my motor hot to touch. Im really thinking i have a bad gauge. At idle tge gauge doesnt even move. Just order a new one so will see
Bad gauge or dirty blocked line is a possibility.
