    98 mercury 225efi alarm over year

    Took boat out Friday ran for awhile still break in procedure took out yesterday evening to fish a little wasn't 100yards from ramp alarm starts going off motor getting hot i have the worst luck any suggestions before try to tear into this thing thanks

    No pee tried flushing cleaning hoping debri was stopping it up put the muffs on still no pee noticed while it was running a little water trickling down from thermostat . I'm assuming I need a new water pump anyone know which kit i need that has everything I need including the line up pins thanks

    After reading my warranty policy when motor was rebuilt the water pump was replaced as well what else may have happened .

    Somebody messed up the install...….pull the lower unit off and inspect the pump.

    Called installer they said bring it back so they can look at it the problem

    I think that's the best course of action since they rebuilt the engine including water pump.

    Problem solved too small key way in pump slipped off and spun new one in peeing like a new baby boy kill switch hooked up .

    Hopefully the rebuilt motor is not hurt from overheating it.
