Broke my 2015 Shimano Metanium DC I-DC5 Module

Unfortunately, during a bearing install I must have pulled too hard to get the module out. Looks like it may have been damaged due to my own damn fault for rushing before a fishing trip. Luckily I have another Metanium DC and I swapped the side plate to still be able to have cast control.

Does anyone know someone or somewhere I can go to order the part from Shimano? In the link below; it’s part #85.
Looks like it’s around $90 bucks.

You could call Shimano America Corp and see if they can help or order it from Plat.

Answer would be no, it'll have to come from Japan
and if memory is correct, it's much much more than $90. Dan

That price is in JPY. Conversion rates change as the Yen gains or looses value. You’d be looking shipped from Plat at around $130

Yup, got the quote from Japan Tackle. The 3 week lead time is going to suck but oh well.

So I've replaced the module within the reel but it's still not actuating the DC control; typically, I would hear the audible sound like my other reels. Does anyone know what I could be missing here?

I replaced the bearing during the install, I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Anyone know?

There are several other things that could cause it to not work. Is the braking working at all, and you just have no sound? Or is there no braking? When you installed the bearing, did you separate the DC unit from its base? Shoot me a PM and I will help you the best I can.

There is no braking. Yes, when I installed the bearing, I had to remove the module from the base of the side plate. When I installed the new unit, it's not as tight as the previous but still goes right in and sits it is respective spot. Will send you PM as well.
