Question for the 17 and newer 721 PRO XP with 250 PRO XP with Pro Package

Question for you guys with same rig set up as mine roughly. 17 721 PROXP W/ 36V Ultrex 4 31’ series batteries, Twin Power Poles and Hyd JP and Mercury 250 PRO XS. With like 1/2 to 3/4 fuel

I run heavy and I know it but my question is : Are you guys with very close to the above set up able to Turn you 25 Fury to 6000 rpm in late spring to early summer heat ?

I had mine in for service the other day and with light load (No Tackle or Rods) I was able to turn my 25 Temepst and 25 Bravo 1 XS only to 5800-5850.

Working with Mark Croxton he feels I should be able to spin both of these props over 6000 I am just wondering what you guys experiences are ?

I'll ask you the same question everyone on here will ask you first...Are you going off the gauge or mercmonitor for your RPM's? The gauge can be off. With that being said, I run the exact same setup except my cranking battery is an AGM. I can turn my 25 fury to about 5800 trny loaded (heavy) in the summer. You may need to run your plate higher, I found that to be my problem. Helped the handling and speed a lot! For the record, I came out of an '05 TR-196 with a 200 ProXS on it.

Came out of the same boat as you. Numbers come off my Merc Mointor. I have run it all the way up as it is a Hyd Plate. Okay so you can turn yours about the same as mine. Has anyone tried a 24 Fury and had it worked to like a 24.5 ?

Mine is a 17 , very close to yours with a 10" bobs hydro. Way to much stuff in mine. Tournament load with live wells full ,2 guys it will run between 72-73 at around 5800. Two guys empty live wells ,1/2 tank I've seen 76 at 6000+) 25 fury 3. Ran a 26 and didn't like it. Poor midrange and handled squirrelly.

Check your hot foot to make sure you're getting wot. Either you're not getting wot or you got a problem.
With no tackle or rods you should have been all over the limiter easily with both props.

Checked the Hot Foot I am going to check the butterfly to see if it is opening all the way as well.
