It's truly amazing what those young men accomplished....
One of my older cousins survived a glider crash during the invasion. He told me 18 of the 25 soldiers aboard were killed and has no idea how he and the others survived. He said it was a brutal crash and they were being fired at as they crawled from the plane.
I never had the ball's to go AirBourne.

My first wife's grandfather was a Glider Pilot. His stories left me in awe...and I spent 25 years in SOF.
